Cozumel
Honduras Wildlife
On Isla Roatan, we visited a botanical garden complete with parrots and monkeys. The parrot pooped on the person before Tom, so I took a pass on that one.. the monkey was after the cord on my glasses.
Turtle Farm
Also in Grand Cayman, we went to a giant turtle farm.. if you scratch under their necks, they don't wiggle so much.
Grand Cayman
We didn't know that the ship was going to Grand Cayman.. it was a change in the itinerary (many of the passengers were not thrilled! We hadn't been here before, so we took advantage of the opportunity to swim with the dolphins. Of course, I was nervous about it, but when a 7 year old was the first in the tank, I decided to be brave..
New Orleans
On the way to the cruise we stopped in New Orleans to visit the WWII museum.. it was well worth the trip. Don and Lynne joined us for a couple of days.. we enjoyed some good food at K-Paul's in the French Quarter. YUM..We took a city tour to refresh our memories of the Big Easy. Dad still protected the bachelor party stories!

Volunteering
We have decided to incorporate volunteer opportunities into as many trips as possible. On our way to our cruise we stopped off at an Natiional Distribution Center for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). We didn't know what we'd be doing, but we ended up repacking health kits to to sent to respond to world-wide emergencies.
